This story and its daily HaikuPrajna Inktober poems were originally planned to be released in "SM-SARA, Poems and Other Stories". "Spear-thrower" is now set for its own standalone release as the third installment in the HaikuPrajna Collection.

"The Spearthrower left his family's cave to learn about other people's lifestyles. He led a nomadic routine of hunting, crafting, sleeping and traveling. He had made friends with a tribe who captured him, and had met other caves with individual teachers. On his journey home he returned to past settlements, where he learned to cope with change and loss. He passed his system on to settlements as thanks for the unique lessons he was gifted."
