"Together in Forever", follows the final nights of a Holographic Pirate's quest to free their Lover from Zeus, the sentient black hole star that these crystalline beings orbit; hologram piracy was similar to digital piracy, except that the duplication of the seed engram took place in interplanetary space and required a line of sight with Zeus. The Pirate tackles the guilt of destroying the holograms she and her Lover used to duplicate and she struggles to cope because of her reliance on the thrills of said destruction.

She knew the lineup of things that she regretted was reaching its maximum. The surmounting guilt was only sated by the fleeting thrills. She had recognized that, by destroying nine hundred and ninety nine holograms, she had grown to enjoy the act--and had recognized her reliance.

Destruction consumed the Pirate. Her attempts to quell the remorse had only stuck her with the guilt for all Eternity. Her decisions were made with a price.

As promised, the short story “Together in Forever” will be released this month! All three parts will be available on Amazon Kindle as separate digital ebooks. A physical paperback book will collect the entire story following their individual releases. The following is the blurb for “Together in Forever - Part I”;

Following the leaked news in the Project Roadmap, I am excited to confirm the participation of “Fishing for Caribou” and “Escape Perennial City” in the Brampton Library’s Local Author Showcase! An event is taking place at Gage Park during one of the Farmers’ Market weekends. For a year following the Showcase, the library will be circulating books written by people in the community. April and I plan to hand out flyers, while “Fishing for Caribou” and “Escape Perennial City” join the library’s in-branch and digital catalogs. Come join us on Saturday June 18th 2022 at the Brampton Farmers’ Market from 7:30am-1:00pm; check the hosts’ websites for more details.

The two events, "Together in Forever" and the Local Author Showcase, are scheduled around the same time, so I thought I would share a unified post with you all to tease what’s happening.

June is also the third anniversary of the original “SM-SARA” release on Amazon! To coincide with the events above, “SM-SARA, Poetry and Other Stories” will be on sale for a dollar on the digital Kindle ebook store from June 17th until June 24th 2022;

Thank you for reading the latest update to the HaikuPrajna Project Roadmap release schedule. There are a number of exciting pieces of news to share in this post. This month is the third anniversary of the first HaikuPrajna poem to be shared online via Instagram! Please read to the end for details on Free Book Promotions from the Kindle ebook store in celebration of this anniversary!

First, leaking some news about an event at the local public library. Excited to announce that, later this year, "Fishing for Caribou" and "Escape Perennial City" will both be featured in the Brampton Library's Local Authors Showcase! For the following twelve months these books will be circulated in both physical and digital formats. According to an email from the library, an event is expected to take place in mid-June 2022. Further details will be revealed to you when they arrive.

Next, following the second edition releases of "Hector Blake" and the rest of "SM-SARA, Poetry and Other Stories" in March (https://haikuprajna.blogspot.com/2022/04/20220401-sm-sara-poetry-and-other.html), the release schedule has been updated with the following Project Roadmap:

. In summer 2022, the story “Together in Forever” will be released online beside the fourth HaikuPrajna Collection, which will contain book and comic reviews. (Together in Forever 2021 12 21 poem: https://haikuprajna.blogspot.com/2021/12/20211221-together-forever.html)

. The novel “Orson Tripp” is planned for October, and a revised second edition of “Elephant in the Room” will be shared in Fall 2022 with another online story, like “Together in Forever”, titled “Ultraviolet” which is part of the already-announced Project: "Fluke", an anthology of standalone stories that is framed by the appearance-altering Fluke's overarching misadventures, which is in drafting and editing stages. . Have packed Winter 2022 with another standalone story like “Together in Forever” with plans on either “Fluke” or the episodic “Bucket” Collection for December.

The more distant dates are more flexible than others, and there are expectations for at least one of these projects to be moved into 2023 or ‘24, as there are enough story outlines to release well beyond 2024.

20211221 - Together Forever

Today (1221) is my ninth anniversary with April, and we are spending the day working on projects for each other while wrapping Christmas presents, eating finger foods and enjoying some wine and smokes together.

My project is a story about space piracy and involves a digital pirate finishing a deal with a sentient black hole named Zeus who was holding her lover hostage. Zeus has a list of "most evil" holograms that the pirate murders or steals to capture and jettison toward the black hole. The pirate copes with the guilt of the task but also suffers the consequences of having grown to enjoy this never-ending self-perpetuating cycle.

We have been keeping ourselves busy this holiday season, so we wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
