It's been one year since "SM-SARA, Poems and Other Stories" was released on Amazon, and we are celebrating this anniversary by releasing "The Artifact" as a standalone ebook!

Captains Bruce Parr and Trevor Rogers had put another argument behind them.
The two were forced to co-pilot a scout mission to inspect an anomaly detected in deep space, so they decided it was easier to ignore and justify their rivalry. Complacent of their hatred for each other, their future arguments--over who was a better Captain--would become worse than any of their last.
Hit with the realization of their overconfidence and by their inability to retreat to an easy “solution”, like they believe a "good Captain" would, they had failed to overcome their hindrances and were consumed until they were nothing…Their attention recaptured by energy reading spikes, they realized the scout ship had discovered the Artifact.

 

Throughout March 2022, some of the short stories in the book will be released as standalone ebooks on Kindle Unlimited along with an updated hardcover, paperback and digital version of the second entry in the HaikuPrajna Collection.

These new editions of "SM-SARA", "Hector Blake", "The Artifact" and "The Cannon" will be recollected in "SM-SARA - Poetry and Other Stories"; there are no substantial changes in the script, and changes include a new cover and updated formatting.

When the second edition of SM-SARA is released, the first edition will be delisted; I believe KDP allows ebooks to be updated, so Kindle readers should be able to enjoy these updates for free, however new physical readers should consider these changes before purchase, and current physical owners are encouraged to get in contact so we can discuss an arrangement.

Last year, I used the 2020 Inktober prompts to carry myself through NaNoWriMo 2020 and write the whole first draft of Fishing for Caribou. This year, now that we're about to announce the release date for Fishing for Caribou, which collects last year's Inktober poetry, April and I are compiling more art, micro fiction and poetry to make content for another HaikuPrajna Collection that follows a man named Bucket.

For Inktober 2021, please enjoy these poems based on April's 25th birthday-present mashed up with the drawing prompts! April is busy coming up with original drawings for each prompt while using Bucket as a muse. These Inktober poems and drawings will be collected along with pieces of micro fiction (which will be posted later, maybe for NaNoWriMo 2021) and a novel-length story as a future edition of the HaikuPrajna Collection.
