Hello reader,
New APRILandALLEN's Roadmap video available on YouTube!
https://youtu.be/LJHvKpir64U
.
We were given the opportunity to speak at a Brampton Indie Comics & Zines jam!
The group hung out at the amazing Brampton Arts Organization office downtown, I used to walk by the entrance daily at the bus and train terminal but never went in until now; lots of colour, very clean and spacious, with a great view of the tracks and street below that is hard to see anywhere else in the city.
I was given the opportunity to read the Pokemon Day issue of The HaikuPrajna Challenge, let me know if you wrote your own.
April and I made zines all day, I made a Minecraft one along with another using prompts that our event organizer Joy (@joysan @snarkytuna) provided for us, and April got to perform a ukulele rendition of her song Love Boat.
But now we have to go back for our zines! We donated a selection of our catalog along with the mini-zines we put together to go into Brampton’s first official Zine Vending Machine, and there's going to be a party to launch it later this month; we had fun, thank you for giving us this opportunity to meet new friends and share our Zines!
.
Thank you for reading,
Until next time!

Hello reader,
Welcome to another HaikuPrajna Challenge--a monthly prompt series, which I started in honour of HaikuPrajna’s fourth birthday, that uses the titles of the books reviewed on the blog!
This prompt challenge is just for fun, and I will be resharing submissions; this is an opportunity for us both to interact and engage with the haiku poetry writing community.
GUIDELINE RULES
Open to all humans, even those who would never read the book are encouraged to participate!
Write a haiku / senryu / zappai based on what the prompt made you first think about.
Each prompt is a book title, if you have never read the story, write about the visuals that the title inspires for you.
Remember to evoke imagery with your poem, traditional haiku is said to juxtapose two nature or season related visuals.
Please provide a text-based version if submitting an image.
Use the hashtag #HaikuPrajnaChallenge
Submit your poem by sharing online with the hashtag; please link to it in the comments or via DM if I miss resharing it!!
Previous prompts also remain available for use.
The HaikuPrajna Challenge is an entry in APRILandALLEN’s Project Roadmap, our photo book and video log series where subscribed Patreon readers have access to archives with photos, captions and videos which will be collected in future APRILandALLEN’s books--join our Patreon at patreon.com/asquaredproductions to submit to our public poetry prompt and view more free features.
If you need inspiration, or if you are on the fence about reading the book, then check out my own poem and book review on the HaikuPrajna blog.
I write mindfulness meditation scifaiku and haiku poetry on my book reviews and on previews of my metaphysical stories, such as "Escape Perennial City". Read more at goodreads.com/haikuprajna

Last night, April and I were at the Transcendent Artists Community's live event in Toronto at the Geary Avenue Warehouse Project! Here's some photos of April drawing at our merch space. I also included pictures of our upcoming Etsy shop's products; polymer clay charms, named "Deforms"!
We had a good night and enjoyed meeting everyone at the event. Thanks to those who came out! More thanks to the Geary Avenue Warehouse Project and the Transcendent Artists Community for the opportunity.
