" The Overseer led the Forest’s Terraforms along the edge of a chasm to visit Falgara the Giant, at the absolute bottom of a great river, on its birthday.

Arriving at the garden on top of a waterfall, the other Terraforms had to promise to avoid falling into Falgara’s stream, as the smaller Terraforms would be unable to swim free from the current’s inevitable flow. The Overseer resisted, but found themself unable to, and they fell into Falgara.

Inside the barrelling pressure of the mirrored waterfall’s mist, the Overseer had to ascend in a constant motion that was threatened to be undone in the manner of the falling lights of the Giant. Even the thought of taking a rest in the mirrored garden at the top of Falgara threatened to send them back home. "

"Falgara the Giant" is a story I wrote using the notebook I made for our Niagara Falls trip on April's birthday in 2022. It is a story about how necessary stress is for any adventure, while exploring how we interact with ideas and beings that are greater than any individual.

BATT-LE Colosseum is the next book in the Fluke series, set after ULTRAVIOLET. Set to release in the first quarter, expect a separate reveal post in January 2023.

Falgara the Giant

Falgara the Giant, the third story in The Wisps Book, will release on Kindle Unlimited in January 2023. Expect a release announcement soon!

Throughout 2023, readers can expect more Terraform stories on the likes of Regica the calcified calamari, Simongia the bear, Summond the jack-o-lantern, Sol the Sun, and Christmas the sheep.

The Wisps Book, when its collected physical edition is released, will serve as the fourth entry in the HaikuPrajna Collection.

Elephant in the Room

In a slight delay to ensure sufficient care and quality, before Spring 2023 the second edition of Elephant in the Room will see a wide release, just like Ado the Owl and Hector Blake.

Before autumn 2023, Two Elephants in the Room, the fifth book in the HaikuPrajna Collection, will feature all of the book reviews and poetry featured on HaikuPrajna up to the end of 2022, including the to-be-reviewed books that I had read in the year. Ado the Owl is the second piece of flash fiction in The Wisps Book; following Tomothy and the Overseer of the Forest, the Terraforms lose sight of the owl, who struggles to escape the darkness of their worries.

Book store blurb;

" Ado the Owl, while on a stroll with the Overseer of the Forest, fell into a cave and was unable to escape or fly away.

The other Terraforms looked down, noticing that Ado had fallen into the cave, but the Terraforms disappeared one by one.

Because of this, Ado started to believe the Forest's cave was protecting them from a predator outside.

The Owl listened close, in case the others would return.

But Ado the Owl was unsure about calling out for help--they worried over attracting the predator. "

Hello readers,

"Falgara the Giant" is the next Terraform book set in The Wisps series. This metaphysical fiction/fantasy short story, unlike "Ado the Owl", will be a digital eBook exclusive to the Kindle store.

Falgara was the project we outlined during April’s birthday trip to Niagara Falls, which served as inspiration that we personified for the Terraform; there's even an Electric Armchair song title hidden in the manuscript and blurb. The Overseer travels through their Forest with a group of Terraforms along a path to the top of a waterfall, where they fall into Falgara at the bottom of the lake below.

ULTRAVIOLET is the first in a series of metaphysical science fiction short stories about a superpowered cast living at the end of the 30th century. This story follows Elsa Todd, the Imprint, who can visualize ideas and deconstruct their holographic forms.

Using her abilities to outline objects, Imprint contacts the cosmic Source, the first person narrator of the book’s third person narrative.

I was inspired by literature as a medium for the ideas you will read about in ULTRAVIOLET, where I based Imprint’s abilities on how we interact with ideas when we consume, read, write and create.

" The Imprint tuned to the light of a clear blue sky.

Speaking through the ultraviolet end of the visible spectrum, Imprint told the Source she had hit a roadblock in her project, that the microcosm’s dimension of time was frozen past a specific point.

The Source revealed that her problem was a non-issue, transcending Imprint’s macrocosm, which was a microcosm to the godform.

But Imprint realized that meant the Ultraviolet had claimed her abilities and endeavours as its own.

Desperate to reclaim her work, Imprint attempted to capture and transcend the godform, but only revealed the underlying structure of every cosmos in her effort. "

Very excited to reveal my next project; “Ultraviolet” is the first in a series of metaphysical science fiction short stories about a superpowered cast living at the end of the 30th century.

“Ultraviolet” will be released as a Kindle Unlimited ebook that can be read on any device with a web browser.

"Tomothy and the Overseer of the Forest" is a Metaphysical Fiction short story that I wrote on Mother's Day 2022 which follows the titular Terraform as they search the sentient Forest that they call home for the Forest's missing Overseer. The story focuses on the relationship one has with beings greater than oneself, which is symbolized through both Tomothy being a part of a larger Forest, and through the Forest being unable to see the Overseer, along with themes of mindfulness and metaphysics.

" Tomothy watered the flowers, tended to the branches and assisted the other Terraforms of the Forest, the symbiotic relationships between organic minerals like Tom the ceramic elephant and biologic life like Timothy the kalanchoe, having been tasked by the Overseer of the Forest to help keep the Forest in order.

Once upon a time, the Forest believed the Overseer of the Forest had disappeared. The Forest without the Overseer was as if Tomothy was without the Forest, and so Tomothy was compelled to check all the things, every piece, from the clacking rocks to the walls of vines and moss. Tomothy was the hand which the Forest used to order its parts, but had never seen the Overseer, so they too assumed the Overseer had gone missing.

Though, searching for the Overseer had left the Forest in disorder--but Tomothy was determined to help the Forest see the Overseer again. "

Tomothy is the first in a series of Terraform stories, which will each follow one of the Forest's automata; we plan for over fifty symbiont-host relationships!
