Hello reader,

We were taken on a tour of the Rose Theatre during Downtown Brampton’s Doors Open Event. 

Our wonderful guide allowed us to try the parabolic dish in the entrance’s ceiling, which has an effect you have to experience to believe. 

She showed us the special level where the talents are provided dressing areas and green rooms that are separated from and off-limits to the general public. 

We were given another opportunity to stand on the main stage and walk through the aisles of the theatre’s seating, being led out of the second storey’s soundproof vom.

Looking over the railing over the bar’s sitting area, she told us how the stone tiling of the main lobby is in line with the stonework outside in the Garden Square, how it leads straight from the intersection of Main and Queen right to centre stage inside the Rose.  

An important landmark of Flower City for certain; make sure you appreciate all the stonework in the floors and countertops, and do keep your feet off the vinyl wall panes while sitting down, as they both have been imported from overseas.
