We hung out at the BICZ table during the Rose Theatre's 20th anniversary celebration day, where I abused their crafts supplies and put together a mini-zine using the template they had made along with stickers, cutouts and an original doodle or two. Join us at the Brampton Indie Comics and Zines group's next meetups! It is a blessing to be able to spend time with friends while making art.

April and I walked around downtown afterwards and sat by the construction beside the creek behind the Y. We tried the halloumi from Pita Pit, cheesy and salty and squeaky, it was a nice snack. Afterwards, we sat down in Pizza Boom with one of their small pepperoni pizzas which we devoured while it was still fresh and hot at the risk of burnt fingers or palates, the sauce and the toppings tasted rich and savoury, the crust was thin and soft the way we like it but was just a little chewy despite being perfectly cooked, chalk it up to differences in dough preferences, because we otherwise really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant.

We scurried back to the theatre because we had tickets for the Rose’s evening event. Kirk Diamond’s performance was fantastic, and the first act's dancing and poetry was inspiring. A great way to round out the evening and end a wonderful day.

Thank you for the 20 years, Rose Theatre. As soon as you opened your doors, middle school music programs were given the chance to perform for the city, and it is an honor to say that I was one of those kids who got the opportunity to do so. Shoutout to Mr. Di Raimundo and his classes of band geeks from Graydon!
