The ace Hunter struggles to keep the bunker’s populace out of the cycle behind the SM-SARA cockpits, while the Maverick machine invasion on Mars keeps him bound to the armored Jackal the SM-SARA remotely pilots. Richard's abuse leads him to learn about those responsible for his reality and about the nature of both stress and suffering, all the while attempting to free himself from the bindings of SM-SARA.
