Doctor Henry Parker is being hunted by those who wish to separate him from his life's work.

His initial reaction is bewilderment; he grieves, laments and becomes hostile. Their mutual craving for his work results in a citywide chase between all those who want his gravity-defying Cannon armour. At the end of his rope, Hank Parker searches for a way to end his stress, learning that he needs to root out his own clinging and to eliminate the reason that other people want to do him harm.

By doing so, he begins a new path toward redeeming himself.
