“Hector Blake” is a short story that will be featured in the next HaikuPrajna Collection. “SM-SARA, and other stories” will gather the literary fiction that you have been reading through HaikuPrajna, including “Spear-thrower” which was written for 2020’s National Novel Writing Month.
Hector’s fight is symbolic for how one staves off sloth and torpor while trying to stay awake. He continues to tell the room his story, having realized that the enemies he has been fighting are extensions of the room--not new, individual enemies. He struggles to fight his own drowsiness while talking to this formless enemy.
HaikuPrajna
Big Idea that lulls / all to sleep. Struggle to wake / and fend off shadows. (Formless Thoughtform)
Thank you for reading.
Until next time,
